Thrall (formerly known as Thy Plagues) began in 2006 and was formed in Australia (Tasmania). Both creative forces behind the band T. and E. has created something as dark, as atmospheric and as brilliant as the majestic full-lengther of Lurker of Chalice. Hauntingly eerie and hypnotic like nothing I’ve experienced. This debut full-lengther was recorded and produced by Thrall and Trent Griggs at The Gate during 2007 and 2008. Guest vocals by Alex Pope (RUINS) and Trent Griggs (THROES).
Pick this up from Total Holocaust because the mp3 (1. Spit In The Eye / 3. Heliophobia) files sound great, the artwork looks great and the price tag is great (10Euro / $12).
(Also, whilst you’re here, have you seen the new LURKER logo at the top of the blog? ^_^)
Grimlin
the two tracks are pretty good, but they sound more like leviathan than lurker. and even then, not that much.
Alex
I am pretty sure I heard more LOC intonations than Leviathan ones, albeit more in atmosphere than outright composition. Either way I will be picking this up, sounds a bit refreshing in light of recent releases.
Grimlin
its just more aggressive than most lurker. doesnt really sound like leviathan at all. i just said that because lev is more aggressive.

The Lurker logo is sick, and so is Thrall. Anything new?

Logo's hard to miss!
Alex
People using google reader would never see it unless mentioned.

ps.
We recorded drums for our next album Vermin to the Earth at LM Studio (Osaka) with Ippei Suda whose work you may have heard on releases by Corrupted. Guitars, bass and vocals are being recorded now…
